Presentation

Jin Shin Jyutsu (literally 'Art of the Creator through the person of knowledge and compassion') is an ancestral Japanese touch healing art, rediscovered in the early 20th century by Jiro Murai (1886–1960). The system identifies 26 'Safety Energy Locks' (SELs), located along vital energy circulation pathways.

Founder: Jiro Murai (1886–1960), transmitted by Mary Burmeister (1918–2008)

Core Principles

The system includes:

  • Trinity flows: Central flow, left and right supervisor flows
  • 12 organ flows: Corresponding to 12 Chinese medicine meridians
  • Fingers: Each finger is associated with an emotion (thumb = worry; index = fear; middle = anger; ring = sadness; little = pretense/effort)

Main Indications

  • Stress, anxiety and emotional tension
  • Chronic pain (back, shoulders, neck)
  • Digestive disorders
  • Insomnia
  • Migraines and headaches
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Respiratory disorders
  • Cancer support (side effect management)

Contraindications

Jin Shin Jyutsu is one of the safest practices due to the complete absence of pressure:

  • Never substitute JSJ for medical treatment
  • Report any implanted medical devices to the practitioner
  • Mild detoxification reactions possible
