Marma therapy (Marma Chikitsa) is an Ayurvedic branch described in the Sushruta Samhita (c. 600 BCE). Marma are vital points located at junctions of muscles, tendons, bones, joints, blood vessels and nerves. 107 Marma points are identified across the body.
