Conscious/subconscious distinction: the barometer explicitly distinguishes two reading levels. The client may consciously identify with one emotional state while their body reveals a different subconscious state. It is precisely this discrepancy that maintains the cycle of suffering.
Age recession: once the blocked emotion is identified, muscle testing traces back to the exact age when the emotional pattern first became established.
