Rolfing — Structural Integration

Presentation

Structural Integration (Rolfing) was developed by Ida Pauline Rolf (1896–1979), an American biochemist. Observing that postural deformations seemed linked to fascial shortening and adhesions, she developed in the 1950s–1960s a 10-session fascial manipulation protocol ('the 10-series') aimed at realigning the body in the gravitational field. She founded the Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado in 1971.
