Liu Zi Jue (六字诀, 'Six Healing Sounds') is a therapeutic breathing Qi Gong originating from Taoist physician Tao Hongjing (456–536 CE). Each internal organ resonates with a specific sound; controlled emission during exhalation regulates and purifies the corresponding organ.

Core Principles

  • Xu — Liver: calms Liver, releases anger.
  • He — Heart: purifies Heart, calms agitation.
  • Hu — Spleen: strengthens Spleen, improves digestion.
  • Si — Lung: purifies Lungs, releases grief.
  • Chui — Kidney: nourishes Kidneys, strengthens lower back.
  • Xi — Triple Burner: harmonizes three burners.
