Presentation

Touch for Health (TFH) was created in 1973 by Dr. John Thie, an American chiropractor and former ICAK president. Wishing to make applied kinesiology principles accessible to the general public for self-care and prevention, he simplified Goodheart's protocols into a system of 14 muscles associated with the 14 main meridians of Traditional Chinese Medicine. TFH has become the most widespread branch of kinesiology worldwide, practiced in over 100 countries.

Principles

TFH rests on the TCM energy model: vital energy (Qi) flows through 14 main meridians. Each meridian is associated with a specific muscle. A "weak" muscle reveals an energy imbalance. Correction restores energy flow and vitality. The system also integrates the 5 Elements, the emotion wheel and Hering's laws of healing.

Balancing Protocol

TFH balancing follows a structured protocol: pre-test (hydration and neurological switching), testing 14 muscles, corrections (neurolymphatic points, neurovascular points, meridian tracing, acupressure, ESR) and post-test verification.

Applications

  • Vitality and general well-being improvement
  • Stress and emotional tension management
  • Light muscular pain relief
  • Sports performance support
  • Family self-care
