Seasonal Naturopathic Cure

Presentation

The seasonal cure is a preventive naturopathic program that follows natural biological rhythms. Each season imposes specific constraints on the organism and offers particular opportunities for cleansing, strengthening or regeneration. Traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurveda and European naturopathy converge on the importance of these seasonal cycles for maintaining optimal health.

Spring: The Great Detoxification

Spring is the ideal season for detoxification. The organism emerges from winter with accumulated overloads (richer diet, sedentary lifestyle). Spring's rising energy naturally supports elimination processes. The spring protocol includes: birch sap cure (3 weeks, 150 ml/day fasting), hepatic drainage with bitter plants (artichoke, black radish, dandelion), 1-3 day mono-diet (grapes, brown rice or apple), progressive resumption of outdoor physical activity, introduction of spring foods (young shoots, asparagus, wild garlic, nettles). Recommended duration is 3-4 weeks.

Summer: Vitalization

Summer is the season of maximum energy, ideal for revitalizing through sun, fresh air and living foods. The summer protocol includes: predominantly raw diet (70-80% raw foods), sensible sun exposure (vitamin D synthesis), outdoor physical activity (swimming, hiking, cycling), fresh fruit and vegetable cures, abundant hydration, sea or river baths and barefoot walking (earthing).

Autumn: Immune Preparation

Autumn prepares the organism to face winter. It is the season for immune strengthening and remineralization. The autumn protocol includes: propolis and royal jelly cure (6 weeks), vitamin D supplementation (October to March), revitalization with medicinal mushrooms (shiitake, reishi, maitake), root vegetable and squash-rich diet, marine magnesium cure, gut microbiome strengthening (probiotics, fermented foods) and adaptogenic phytotherapy (echinacea, eleutherococcus, astragalus).

Winter: Conservation and Regeneration

Winter is the season of interiority and energy conservation. The winter protocol includes: warm, comforting diet (soups, bone broths, legumes), continued vitamin D and omega-3 supplementation, daily use of immune-stimulating spices (turmeric, ginger, cinnamon), warming herbal teas (thyme, rosemary, ginger), moderate physical activity (yoga, walking, tai chi), extended sleep and relaxation rituals, and hydrotherapy (hot baths, sauna).
